A 6 week unit including planning and differentiated Widgit (Communicate in Print) resources. Work is differentiated for a wide range of children to access - I am currently teaching children working at mainstream Y1 - Y5. Unit of work includes: To investigate the different continents and countries of the world. To investigate and name 1-3 different cities and towns. To investigate and identify different types of currencies. To investigate and identify different languages around the world. To investigate different festivals around the world and to investigate the symbolism of these. To explore how weddings are different around the world. Each lesson starts with a practical/verbal task and then a written task which can be completed with an adult, as a group or independently depending on the needs within your class.
